I have just returned from holiday to find that vista is not opening basic functions ie: install/uninstall a programme/ vista games. On attempting to open these basic functions i get file missing messages. I am unable to open many options from the control panel also. I have run a virus check and update with no joy.

The main lock-up's I have are programs 'Not Responding' or 'Stopped Working', my system is brand-new and top spec and I rarely had these problems in XP, if you have an XP installation disc and are confident you can install XP by yourself then I would recommend removing Vista and putting XP back on your system.
